Hello! My name is Kat Southard, and I am a Registered Nurse and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist located in Montgomery County, Tennessee.  I am passionate about advocating for and empowering families to achieve their personal health goals on their breastfeeding journey.  I spent the first 10 years of my professional career as a family and early childhood advocate.  I have been a Registered Nurse since 2015 and completed my bachelor's in nursing through the University of Cincinnati.  I became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist in 2018 and have since devoted my time to providing lactation support in military communities as my family moved across the United States supporting my husband's military career.  I believe in supporting families by providing current, evidence-based information and service that emphasizes inclusion, respect, and personalized care.
